A goddess’ lesson from a pure person, carrying their teachings to her current day. The young woman’s simple sentiments, her bleeding rage at her depths.
The next morning, Astraea making some food over the fire. Mina sitting down, watching her hum along. The innocent one shortly looking behind, her smile at the entity.
“I heard some things last night, what happened?” Astraea faces the deity.
“It was nothing important.” Mina’s eyes a bit away.
The young woman frowning, soon walking up to the maiden. Mina’s eyes on her, seeing her hands on her waist in displeasure.
“If you do not tell me, you are not getting any breakfast this morning.” Astraea’s firm stance.
Two from different times, both reflecting the other. The goddess seeing their identical traits, unable to make sense of it. A sigh shortly leaving Mina, her hand behind her head.
“The fire Guardian Apollo, we didn’t have a good reunion. It turned into quite a battle.” Mina slightly looks to her side.
“What?! You sure you’re okay? Maybe I should get you some medicine.” Astraea worryingly rests her hand on her chest.
“No! I am healthy! Look!” Mina quickly stands up, doing jumping jacks.
“I will prepare it quickly, please wait there.” The young woman giggles a bit, heading to the tent.
“No! Please!” Mina falls to her hands and knees.
Some passing time, Astraea chasing down Mina, eventually cornering her by a rock. An innocent smile on the young woman’s face, horror in the goddess’ eyes. Both shortly by the fire again, the deity groaning face down on the ground.
“You will be fine, see? You are doing much better already.” The pure one happily holds her hands behind her back, looking down at the maiden.
“What sort of universe cruelty is this...?” Mina whimpers.
A pure soul doing her best, her interesting methods bringing a grand being to defeat. A few days going by, the two friends arriving in a small village underneath the warm sun.
The ruinous place, holes in some buildings. The dry land, cracks everywhere on the earth. Astraea walking ahead, taking in the sight.
“This place really has gone to hell.” Mina covers her nose in disgust.
“You okay...?” The pure one worryingly turns to the being.
“The air here is awful...” The goddess grabs the side of her head.
“It is why the Guardians are needed. I know you have problems with them, but please do your best to put that aside.” The young woman’s hand sadly to her chest.
“Yeah-yeah...” The deity looks away a bit.
One from long ago reflecting through another, their gentle soul brilliantly shining in a black world. Mina’s eyes shortly to Astraea, witnessing her holding her hands behind her back.
“I am aware we need information, but you wouldn’t mind us exploring, right? I haven’t been this far from my home.” The young woman’s vision below.
“Fine, but after we get what we need.” Mina slightly smiles at them, a sigh leaves her.
A deity’s life in the past, an empty tome in her earliest days. One coming in, showing her a new world.
Astraea brightly grinning at her, soon running up to the entity. The young woman grabbing her hand, happily pulling the maiden ahead.
“Come on, let’s go get the info, then we can have some fun!” the pure one points in the direction.
An individual in a dying world, someone relishing in the simple pleasures of life. The maiden’s mind on Seren, witnessing Astraea’s similar behavior to them.
The two eventually making their way to a bar, both walking through the dark area. Some tables everywhere, customers enjoying their time, some playing games. Astraea remaining close to Mina, some unease from her.
“What can I do for the both of you?” a woman leans forward from behind the counter.
“Some information.” Mina walks up to her, pulling out a stool for Astraea.
The young woman sitting down on it, taking in the sight around her. The innocent one’s eyes on the pictures, soon shifting it to the plants in the corners.
“On what might I ask?” the woman’s finger to her chin.
“There are these knights in white, do you know where they are from? And where Hera the Guardian is located?” Mina points to a drink, shortly shifting her head in Astraea’s direction.
The woman thinking on the person before them, soon getting a drink. The bartender pouring out a glass, shortly putting it before the pure one.
“Oh, thank you.” The young woman pleasantly takes hold of it.
“This is common information. The white knights are known as members from the Grand Knights. Their base is in the capital of Elgaia within Ragna. It is there, rumors have it that Hera is in their grasp.” The woman leans on the counter, her index to her chin.
“Hah, I imagine getting in there will be problematic.” Mina puts down some money on the counter.
“This currency hasn’t been used in centuries, it is a collector’s item. You sure you want to pay with this?” the person’s surprise.
“Yeah, consider it payment for the drink and information.” Mina braces back against the counter.
A great problem before Mina, one Guardian in the heart of the enemy territory. The maiden’s hand to her chin, thinking on her next move.
“If you are trying to restore this world, it is a long shot you know.” The woman stands straight.
“We are aware, but what other choice do we have...?” Astraea grimly sets down the empty glass.
“If you have time, find some recruits and direct them at Ragna.” Mina glances back at the person.
The bartender’s surprise at them, one choosing to attack Ragna. Many attempting the fortress in the past, everyone failing to overcome their vast defense.
“Alright, not like we have a future at this rate.” The woman grabs her arms, slightly smiling at the entity.
A dying world around them, one place holding the solution towards the maiden’s desire. Mina helping Astraea down from her seat, both of them soon heading on their way. The two shortly standing outside, their eyes on a few mercenaries before them.
“We overheard ya, so attacking Ragna huh? Pretty gusty move girls. However, as it is now. Even us mercenaries cannot find proper jobs. Everyone has to support themselves, so count us in.” A man folds his arms.
“Alright, we are better off moving as a small team for now. Gather as much support as you can, and stay low. We want to attack and strike them by surprise.” Mina’s hand on her waist.
“Sounds good to me, we will keep an eye out on your progress.” Another man gestures his hand to her.
A heart betting on the smallest chance, visualizing her way back to one, carrying her feverish sentiments for a certain person. The mercenaries shortly heading on their way, Mina soon facing Astraea.
“Do you think we can really win? I know we don’t have a choice, but Ragna is something else...” Astraea uneasily grabs her arms.
“To get back what I lost, I need Hera. I will risk anything to get those days again...” Mina slightly looks away.
“What about your life now? Doesn’t that mean anything to you?” the young woman worryingly holds the deity’s hands.
“No, because I would not be anything without a certain someone...” Mina breaks away, her eyes to her side.
An individual choosing her path, running towards her ruin. The deity’s lingering flame for one, her decision to tackle a fortress in her weak state.
“But...!” Astraea turns away, sadly grabbing her arms.
The entity’s eyes on her, seeing her same reflection to another. Two across different times, their purely shining hearts.
Mina walking to Astraea’s side, putting a hand on her shoulder, the young woman’s grim vision to the goddess.
“Come. I did agree to look around, so let us go.” Mina softly smiles at her.
“Okay...” Astraea looks down a bit.
The maiden’s firm devotion going forward, her companion unable to break through the veil, watching her friend spear ahead.
Both shortly continuing onward, Astraea leading the way, her eyes on the many shops. One catching her attention, the young woman pulling Mina in the direction. The two soon at the counter, a male shopkeeper behind it.
“Not from around here huh.” His smile to the young woman.
“Oh, no. Simply passing by the village.” Astraea grins at him as she holds her hands.
The Guardians’ role to maintain balance, a few missing, creating the ruinous place around them. Mina’s eyes on some people, seeing their torment.
“You two should be careful, the Grand Knights are a bunch of brutes. I heard a Guardian escaped their imprisonment, and the knights have been more active since. Anyway, word is that they are deployed to the northeast of here, no one gets in or out.” The shopkeeper folds his arms.
“Guardians are needed to maintain balance, but with one in their hands, the damage has been horrendous.” Astraea grabs her wrist, her eyes sadly below.
“Yeah, and we can’t do anything about it. It sucks ya know, just waiting for your death.” The man sighs, his hand behind his head.
