Scene From Isa
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Floating in an endless space, darkness surrounding me in its tight grip. Steadily opening my eyes, my mind on my decision to push forward. My choice to give up my humanity, to free Elina from Armand.
A light shining in my direction, feeling its pulling force on me. Shortly moving my hand towards it, a familiar warmth wrapping me in its embrace.
I soon find myself in a flowery field, the bleeding moon shining below. An altar in the back with stairs leading higher, a moon levitating at the top.
A strange place around me, the gently blowing breeze against me. Shifting my vision to the bottom, seeing someone there. My slow movements forward, my widening eyes.
Increasing my pace, running faster to them, soon standing before one in a black nightwear. A bench behind them, its structure detailing in fine quality. Remaining there, the person’s soft gaze on me, purely smiling at me.
“Welcome, Isa.” The pure one holds down her hands.
“Elina...why are you here? What is this place?” my attention around me.
Seeing her again after a long time, confusion and excitement inside of me. Both of us in the flowery field, feeling the calm breeze embracing us underneath the blissful dusk. My eyes on her movement, watching her hold her arm, the innocent one slightly looking below.
“Did you...really give up your humanity...?” Elina’s quivering voice.
“Yeah, it was my only chance to be able to save you. Though, I guess being here changes things a bit.” I scratch the back of my head.
“No, it does not...” The innocent one’s sad eyes on me.
“What do you mean?” I lower my arm.
Two of us in a mysterious place, my uncertainty on my arrival here. My desperation to save her, giving up my humanity for the chance to bring her away from her captor. Witnessing sorrow from her, her state weighing on my mind.
“This place is a space you created, your deepest desire that is. And with it, my soul has made its way here to help guide you.” The pure one resting her hand on her chest.
“So...you are still trapped...and this is a dream...?” I lower my head.
“That is the best way to put it, but at least here, we can have small moments together.” Elina warmly smiles at me.
My desire for her safety, wanting her in my arms again. My despair creating a space for us both, a realm in the dusk.
A similar feeling to our meeting, our unlikely encounter shaping our way onward. I want those days again, I want to apologize to her.
“Small moments huh...yeah, I guess so. Elina...I...” My eyes slightly to her.
“I am aware, but before this. There is something you should do.” The innocent one sadly facing away.
“Do what?” I step forward.
“Go to the altar, and make an offering. This will help you on your path.” Elina pointing onward.
Many words within me, yearning to share them with her. My eyes soon to the altar, looking to the moon floating above it. I walk forward, expecting little time with each other.
A peculiar force pulling me to it, my vision on the pulsing azure from the floating object. I shortly stand at the stairs, expanding my arms above.
Negativity flowing out of me, assimilating into the orb. Its energy soon returning, sinking into me. Dark blue flames surrounding me, spilling into the area, shortly vanishing.
“How do you feel?” Elina’s soft voice to me.
“Resilient, but also something more.” I face her, my hand on my waist.
“This is your contract with that demon. As such, it is part of her power.” The hazel one’s hand to her chest in concern.
“Her power huh. So, if I keep developing this, what can happen?” positioning my arms in a thinking posture.
“It is difficult to say, but this is the start of the Countdown to Ruin.” The innocent one’s unsettling voice.
The Countdown to Ruin, a great power leading to catastrophic results. My desire to save Elina, to kill the man responsible for kidnapping her.
I wonder in this moment, on the lengths I am willing to go. My eyes soon to the pure one, seeing her sadness. Both of us shortly sitting on the bench, taking in the breeze, our visions to the sky.
“Are you horrified by my state?” my eyes away from her.
“No, since I know it is you.” Elina rests against me as she holds onto my arm.
“Kinda funny huh, me becoming the thing I once hunted...” I slightly grin at her.
“There is a difference, you are still the one I remember. So driven, so stubborn, but also admirable.” Elina smiles at me with her hand over my own.
Cherishing our values, my stubbornness leading to our separation. Refusing to allow that man to make a mockery of our ideals, a person easily overpowering me.
Elina coming in, everything falling apart, my companion sweeping away in the madness. Her soft words to me, my uncertainty on her kindness. Our slowly brightening surroundings, feeling the increasing wind.
“It seems it is almost time for you to awaken...” The pure one’s depressing voice.
“I promise, I will save you Elina, just give me some time.” I wrap my arms around her.
“I will, while also doing all I can from my end.” The innocent one’s eyes to me.
The Countdown to Ruin setting my direction, my desire to bring Elina back into my arms. Hope existing in this eve, the shining area, the heavily blowing breeze against me.
A tiring feeling coming over me, witnessing the fading dream. No matter my path, I will do anything I must. To see her truly smile again, for her to live the life she wishes to. A person once full of energy, one keeping her in bondage.
