An entity deep in the shadows, the darkness everywhere around them. Their plea for many years, desiring to return to another. Their life growing weaker over the passing time, yet their burning will refusing to die.
How long have I been in this prison...?
A beating pulse at their depths, fearing the passing time. The individual’s mind on a promise, desiring to make true to it.
Are you okay...? Sorry...I promised I would be there...
A heart’s increasing frustration, cursing a few beneath their breath. The darkness suppressing their soul, draining them with the passing time.
Their mind focusing on one, slightly moving their hands. An ancient force stretching from their body, feverishly spilling out.
At the time, a young woman walking through the woods, feeling the warm sun on her. The person’s long flowing lighter brown hair, their eyes reflecting the blue sky.
The individual wearing a short blue jeans and white shirt, a crimson cloak on her. The person shortly stopping, feeling unrest in the area. Their attention above, witnessing a break in the space.
A white light soon shining, revealing a black force in its passing. Their fascination on it descending, seeing it take form on their knee.
A maiden with long black hair, her slowly opening crimson eyes. The strange one’s long white coat, her black shirt and short jeans.
“Uggh...” The maiden flinches a bit.
The person’s eyes on her black gloves, her weak body beneath the sunlight. Her eyes slowly around her, seeing the dying land everywhere. The withering trees, the dry soil. Some dead animals in the place, cracks everywhere.
“What...happened...?” her unrest.
A place different from her memories, the person’s increasing worry. Her mind on a certain individual, wishing for their safety. The maiden soon turning her attention ahead, seeing the young woman kneel to her.
“You look awful...” The person’s worrying eyes on the maiden.
A gentle soul reminding her of another, their mirror image to the entity’s mind. The strange one slowly raising her hand to them, the being shortly making a connection.
The entity scowling a bit, pushing the person away. The maiden shakily rising to her feet, the other alarmingly standing up.
“You shouldn’t move so much!” the young woman holds the being steady.
“Tell me...what year is it...?” the entity’s hesitant voice.
“1360 A.E. Why...?” the individual slightly tilts her head at them.
“A thousand years...this has to be some kind of sick joke...” The being gently moves the person out of the way, slowly stepping forward.
“Hey! You really shouldn’t be moving around like this!” the pure one races in front of her.
The entity’s eyes on the person, seeing another in their image. The maiden’s mind on the truth, scowling at the harsh reality. A heart in the darkness for years, her escape leaving her with nothing.
“You...are not them, just go...” The being’s eyes a bit away.
“I am not sure who you are taking about, but you need to rest.” The young woman grabs the being’s hand.
“I said--”
“--I do not care what you said. Now come on, I have a home deeper in.” The person frowns at the being, pulling her along.
An assertive individual reflecting another, the maiden silently following, struggling to maintain her balance. Her vision on the person, seeing their bright expression.
The two shortly making their way to a large house in the depths, the strange being recognizing it. Her eyes shifting to the flowers in the place, its familiarity to her.
“I know it is not much, but I hope it is good enough.” The young woman smiles at the being.
“Who...are you...?” the entity’s low voice.
“Astraea, mind telling me yours?” her index finger to her chin.
“Mina...” The entity slightly looks away.
The entity’s sinking heart, a sigh soon leaving her, Astraea confusingly looking at the maiden. The pure one thinking for a bit, shortly pulling Mina forward.
Both entering into the house, their presence in a simple establishment. A red carpet at the center of the living room, couches surrounding a table. Bookshelves in the corners, some paintings on the walls.
“She is not her, so why...? Why are they so similar...?” Mina’s unease.
The being looking to the corner, seeing the same flowers again. The person walking up to it, their grim eyes on it. Astraea moving up behind the entity, holding down their hands.
“I like them too, I am not sure why. Ever since I was a girl they just clicked.” Astraea’s gentle eyes on the flowers.
“Why do all of this for a stranger...?” Mina slightly looks away.
“I am not sure, I just felt like I should.” Astraea’s hands behind her back, gently smiles at the being.
An entity in a different time period, another reflecting someone from long ago. Mina’s unrestful heart, trying to rationalize the reason.
Astraea shortly leading the maiden to the higher floor, both soon entering into a room. A bed towards the corner by the window, some dressers on the side, a bathroom nearby.
“This is her home. I know that for sure, but this person is not her...” Mina’s eyes to the window.
“Now please rest, I will be back shortly with something for you to eat.” Astraea holds down her hands, pleasantly smiling at the being.
“You are a handful...” The entity walks forward.
“Oh hush.” The young woman pouts at her.
An entity flowing along an endless line, searching for one in a terrible plane. Another similarly reflecting them, uneasy sentiments grabbing at the being.
Mina stopping by the window, shortly looking back, seeing Astraea leave the room. The entity turning her attention back to the outside, looking at the deteriorating place.
“Hah...serves you right. You took Seren from me, and I will not reverse the damage on this world. Not like I can do it in my state either way...” Mina grabbing her arms, her vision a bit to her side.
A realm fading away, its soil unable to produce, the oceans drying up. An entity’s deep fury, someone choosing to allow the world to die off. Mina’s eyes to her hand, frowning a bit.
“What gave you Guardians any right to tear down my life...?” Mina bites her lower lip.
Some passing time, Astraea entering into the room with a bowl of soup. Her eyes on the being sitting on the bed, smiling a bit at them. The young woman walking up to them, handing the food to the entity.
“How can you be like this? Just looking out there, this world is dying.” The maiden accepts it.
“I am not sure, I feel like I have been waiting on someone. Until then, I just do the best I can to help wherever I can.” Astraea’s hands behind her back, soon sitting beside the entity.
A pure soul in a dying world, their small light in the deep darkness. Mina looking at it, feeling their gentle warmth. The being consuming some of the soup, soon quickly pushing it away from her.
“Wh—what the hell is this?! Did you boil the herbs...?” the maiden shakes her head, trying to get the taste out of her mouth.
“Yes, I did. It looks like you are already getting back your energy.” The young woman pleasantly grabs her arms.
“What kind of devil did I encounter?!” Mina quickly shakes her head, continuously flicking her tongue.
“I know it is bad, but it will help you, I promise.” Astraea giggles a bit.
Mina hastily setting the bowl down on the table, immediately dashing to the window. The being opening it, desperately searching for any source of water to wash down the foul taste.
“Why is this place a wasteland?!” Mina cries.
Astraea lying down on her stomach, her chin on her hands, looking at the maiden run around the room. The person shortly seeing her collide into the wall, watching the entity land on the floor face down.
“It looks like my food is working as intended.” The young woman’s pleasant smile.
“What sort of ritualistic murder did you perform to make that thing?!” Mina raising herself, hesitantly looking back at the pure one.
A person’s frightening method, restoring the being’s energy in a horrific way. Mina soon making her way to Astraea, humorlessly looking at her.
“How do you feel now?” Astraea happily pushes herself up to her knees.
“How can you say that with such delight?” Mina whimpers a bit as she hangs her body.
The young woman’s deep pulsing sentiments, unable to identify the pulling connection. Astraea thinking for a bit, soon sitting down on the bed, her arms wrapping around her legs.
“Mina, where did you come from might I ask?” the young woman slightly tilts her head at them.
“Not where I came from, but when. I was sealed away on this land a thousand years ago. You may know me as Mina the Guardian.” Mina sitting down next to her.
A Guardian meeting her end in an ancient time, her great lingering desire in the endless darkness. Astraea surprisingly covers her mouth, thinking on the lore from the world.
“Who sealed you away?” the young woman’s hand to her chest.
“Someone that I believed was my friend...” Mina slightly looks away.
